Fruit prices on the rise: "A real discrepancy with rising wages"

Fruit is getting more and more expensive. According to the 2025 barometer of the Fruit and Vegetable Price Observatory published by Familles Rurales, their prices have increased by +2% for conventional products and +7% for organic products in one year. "There's a real gap between the price of these products, which are essential to our health, and the increase in wages," laments Nadine Ziane, director of the consumer affairs department at the association.
